The Business Challenge

Dialog Axiata is Sri Lanka's largest mobile service provider serving over 14 million Sri Lankans. The company saw a significant drop amongst the youth segment in Mobile Data Consumption primarily due to them switching to their home, college and corporate Wi-Fi networks. The challenge was to increase the mobile data usage amongst the youth segment.

What We Did

We developed an AR mobile based adventure game named Dialog Mega Run.

Accompanied by a digital campaign to promote it with incentives to the target audience, the mobile game was also given a “Phygital Experience”, where the actual game was transformed to real life and organized in 8 different locations across Sri Lanka.

The Results

The campaign resulted in over 1.5 Million App downloads and was classified the highest downloaded game per day in Sri Lanka in 2016. Average user time per day user increased by 300%.

The phygital experience saw over 1000 participants, which resulted in on-venue downloads and user generated content being shared across social media
